It is with great excitement that Faith and I invite you to join Azusa Pacific University on an unforgettable trip to Greece on May 12-24, 2024. Following in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul, our travels will take us by land and sea to places like Philippi, Thessaloniki, Berea, Athens, Corinth, and Ephesus–mirroring Paul’s missionary journeys to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout much of the ancient world. Our travels will conclude on the southern Aegean Sea as we drop anchor and spend a day in Santorini.
Guiding our trip will be Dr. David Sparks and his wife Elizabeth, founders of Footstep Ministries. David is a biblical scholar and historian, with a passion to make the Word of God come alive by exploring it in its historical context so that travelers return home with a renewed faith and a strengthened witness. Elizabeth was born and raised in northern Greece in the town of Berea, and her desire is to share the beauty of her native country and for travelers to experience the culture in unique and powerful ways. David and Elizabeth have led tours throughout Greece for more than 30 years and are thrilled to be partnering with Azusa Pacific University.
Faith and I have had the joy of traveling through Greece with David and Elizabeth on more than one occasion, and I can tell you with confidence that this will be a trip you will never forget. The rich biblical teaching, historic sites, amazing Greek cuisine, and deep fellowship with the APU family will touch your lives in real and profound ways. And, I can promise you, the Scriptures will come alive in ways you never expected.
