Each of the Daily Insights will help you grow spiritually and meet life's many challenges.  

This Daily Insight series comes as a result of reading Paul’s letters and walking in his footsteps for over three decades. I’ve traveled countless times to many of the sites of Paul’s missionary journeys, including Philippi, Thessaloniki, Berea, Athens, Corinth, Ephesus, and Rome.  Wading into the stream where Paul baptized Lydia, or standing on top of the Areopagus and listening to Paul’s message delivered to the Athenians, or celebrating communion in the agora of Corinth, I can sense Paul’s presence among the ancient ruins.  The dust from the first century still carries the imprint of his steps.  Not only is Paul present among the rocks, but so are the first century men and women who Paul addresses in his letters. With a bit of imagination, you can hear the Philippians rejoicing in the Lord, or the Corinthians arguing among themselves, or the Thessalonians asking questions about the Lord’s return.  

In each of these daily insights it is my hope that I’ve captured the historical context in which Paul moved and proclaimed the Gospel to the people of his day—and not only to them but to us as well. His words continue to be profitable ‘for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that we may be competent, equipped for every good work.’ 

May your faith by renewed and your witness strengthened as you read and take to the heart the Word of God.
