Days 1 & 2 – Arrival
Depart US, arrive Athens, Greece

Transfer to our seaside hotel in the picturesque town of Nafplio on the beautiful Peloponnese peninsula, known as the Tuscany of Greece. Welcome reception and group dinner at a local bougainvillea covered taverna. Overnight Nafplio. (D)

Day 3  Epidauros

After our morning lesson on the life of the Apostle Paul in Greece, we visit the Venetian built Palamidi Fortress rising high above Nafplio. Next we tour the ancient healing center of Epidauros, know for its magnificent theater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the best preserved in all of Greece. We enjoy a seaside lunch by the harbor of quaint Palia Epidauros. We return to Nafplio for dinner accompanied by Greek folk musicians introducing us to the bouzouki. Overnight Nafplio. (B, L, D)

Day 4 – Mycenae

This morning we continue our lessons on the ministry of the Apostle Paul as we focus on the content of his message. We then visit the stunning Church of Panaghia and view its superb icons. Later we travel to Mycenae, the bronze age palace of King Agamemnon, leader of the Trojan War. We engage in a reenactment of various scenes from Aeschylus' play, "Agamemnon." For lunch we visit Nemea, home of the ancient Nemean Games, for a vineyard tour including lunch consisting of local farm to table cuisine. For those up for a climb, we visit the Monastery of the Virgin of the Rock. We return to Nafplio for an afternoon at leisure. Dinner is on your own to choose from one of our many recommendations. Day 5 – Corinth / Athens

Saying goodbye to Nafplio, we make our way to the biblical city of Corinth. After our tour of the archaeological museum we explore the agora and stand before the bema where the Apostle Paul was put on trial. While there we celebrate Holy Communion as we read from Paul's letters to the Corinthians. En route to Athens we visit the Corinth Canal. Arriving in Athens, we settle in for the remainder of our time in Greece at our hotel with a magnificent view of the Acropolis. 

Athens. No other city exemplifies ancient Greece like Athens, and our evening program includes a visit to the New Acropolis Museum. It houses the artifacts from the slopes of the Acropolis as well as the spectacular sculptures from the Parthenon. Following our museum tour we enjoy dinner at a local taverna. Day 6 – Athens

This morning we make the climb to the Acropolis to view the classical Temple of Athena, the Parthenon. We then descend to the Areopagus (Mars Hill) and hear Paul's sermon as he delivered it to the Athenian council of his day. Following lunch we enjoy a stroll through the Plaka for a walking tour of the historic shopping district. We close out our tour with a farewell celebratory dinner as we say goodbye to Greece. Day 7 – Athens / USA

We depart Greece with wonderful memories of the Apostle Paul's ministry and the sites of the birthplace of Western civilization. (B)
