Dear Friends,

We invite you to join First Presbyterian Church as we tour Greece and follow in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul.  The dates of our tour are October 7 - 21, 2016.  Our tour will trace the Apostle Paul’s journeys and promises to deepen your faith and enrich your understanding of early Christian history.

We’ll explore the great cities of Classical and Hellenistic Greece and visit the first century Christian cities of Philippi, Thessaloniki, Berea, Athens, Corinth, Ephesus and Patmos. It is in these communities where the pivotal events of the early church will come alive as you explore the Scriptures in their original settings. Of course, no tour would be complete without a cruise of the wonderful Greek islands, and we will bask in the brilliant sun and gaze at the deep blue seas of the Aegean.

As we travel we will be led by Dr. David Sparks and his wife Elizabeth. Having lead over 100 tours to Greece, David will share with you the first century context that shaped Paul’s gospel message and how his message of Jesus Christ continues to inspire and encourage those who want to follow him. Elizabeth Iliadou-Sparks is a native of Berea, Greece (Acts 17:11). She’ll give you an insider’s view of her homeland, taking you off the beaten path to provide a rich experience of Greek culture and cuisine. You will see and experience more than you can imagine in this enchanting land of beauty and history.

On this tour you will gain a fresh perspective, an eye-witness experience, and a renewed appreciation for the mission, message and ministry of the Apostle Paul and the culture of modern Greece. We hope you will join us for this once in a lifetime experience. Space is limited, so make your reservations soon!

Warmly yours in Christ,

Jerry Nelson & Gary Shugart
