Dearest friends and family,

We would like to invite you to join our family and friends for an unforgettable 13-day pilgrimage to Greece, from June 7th to June 19th, 2020. We will immerse ourselves in the rich history and culture of Greece and trace the footsteps of the Apostle Paul.  In the year 2020, the Granitsas family will celebrate several significant milestones. It has always been a dream of the Granitsas girls to see their family village, Granitsa in the mountains of central Greece. We are excited that there is an optional excursion to visit the ancestral home of the Granitsas clan.

We will tour cities familiar to us from the New Testament records of Paul’s ministry: Thessaloniki, Philippi, Ephesus and Corinth. From Thessaloniki the tour usually flies to Athens for two days of local sightseeing, however for those interested,  there is an option to drive from Thessaloniki to Athens stopping in Meteora to see the summit-top 9th century Byzantine monasteries and visiting the village of Granitsa (check the itinerary link above for more details). After we have explored the mainland of Greece, we will spend 4 days cruising the Aegean Sea and beautiful seaside port towns on the islands of Rhodes, Crete, Ephesus (Turkey), Patmos, Mykonos, and Santorini. We will enjoy both the historical and modern culture of Greece through its beautiful landscape, cuisine and people.

Our tour will be managed and led by Footstep Ministries and Dr. David and Elizabeth Sparks. Dr. Sparks has conducted more than 100 tours to Greece, Italy, Israel and Turkey. With a pastor’s heart, he weaves together the Apostle Paul’s ministry, Greco-Roman culture and early church history. Elizabeth Iliadou Sparks is a native of Greece and will show us her homeland as only a native can do, introducing us to genuine Greek cuisine and local shopping markets.

It would be an honor to walk with you in the footsteps of the Apostle Paul and the Granitsas ancestors. We hope you will consider joining us for this unforgettable journey of rich fellowship and exploration of the country of Greece.
